Your Specialist Podiatry Care Team

Established in 1998, The Exeter Clinic provides expert Podiatry care, biomechanical assessments and gait analysis; with the prescription of orthotics and rehabilitation including the use of radial shock wave therapy to help manage injuries and biomechanical abnormalities. Our services include management of ingrowing toenails including nail surgery under local anaesthetic, pioneering verruca treatments using ‘Swift’ microwave therapy and fungal nail treatment using cold laser technology.

HCPC Registration

Ensure you put your health first and don’t risk anything less with The Exeter Clinic. The HCPC is a UK regulatory body that protects the interests of patients. Confusion over titles, qualifications and letters after a “practitioners” name can be easily overcome by ensuring you only use HCPC registered Podiatrists.

Podiatrist

David Piper

David qualified from the University of Plymouth as a State Registered Podiatrist with a Bachelor of Science degree in Podiatry. Initially working in Gloucester followed by three years with the NHS in Chard and Ilminster, Somerset, before developing the foundations of The Exeter Clinic in 1998. David is also the Chairman for the Devon Branch of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Practice Manager

Nicola Piper

Nicola is The Exeter Clinic Practice Manager and is front of house to help with your enquiries regarding treatments and appointments. Nicola came to The Exeter Clinic from a career in the beauty industry and is an expert in helping ensure you get the right information, with her focus on providing you with the best possible customer service.

Podiatrist

EDWARD DOUBLE

Edward joined the clinic from St George’s NHS in London where he has been based for the last 3 years. He brings knowledge from a high-risk setting as well as previous career in Skiing. He studied at Southampton University and has a keen interest in biomechanics and rehabilitation. Outside the office, Edward enjoys exploring the West Country with his new-born Son.

Podiatrist

JOANNE KENNETT

Jo gained her Podiatry degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University in South Wales. She has worked within the private sector, gaining experience with a wide-ranging patient demographic, including those with diabetes, dementia, and Autistic spectrum disorders. Jo has a particular interest in nail surgery, fungal infections, and verrucae along with musculoskeletal conditions. In her spare time, Jo likes to go coastal walking, listen to classical music, play the piano and is learning the cello.

FIONA HOOPER

Fiona graduated with a first-class BSc degree in podiatry from the University of Plymouth in 2018 and joined The Exeter Clinic team that year. Fiona enjoys helping patients manage their foot pain through improving their foot health.  In addition, Fiona is a trained musician and is a member of Exeter Philharmonic Choir. Fiona also enjoys walking on Dartmoor and the Southwest coastal path.

EMILY MYERS

Emily joined The Exeter Clinic team in April 2019. Emily trained as a beauty therapist and theatrical makeup specialist from Exeter College. Before joining the team, Emily worked for a leading cosmetics company in Exeter.

In Emily’s spare time, she loves relaxing, eating out, and exploring new eateries in our great city of Exeter.

FIONA BRAUNS

South African born and bred, I have an extensive background in Media, Marketing and Advertising. I am very family orientated, have a “hubby” and “fur baby” that dominate my world. My pastimes include painting and being creative. Love running especially trails.  Avid parkrunner as well as being a volunteer. Love travelling and enjoying new experiences, as Einstein says “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
